1, Create your user account.

Please go to http://mermaid.madgik.di.uoa.gr/user/register and follow the instructions there.

You should receive a welcome email saying that your account is pending for authentication.

After your account is activated, you should receive an email with a unique link in order to set your password.

If you do not receive any welcome or approval email, please email directly to e.mailli@di.uoa.gr

Once your account is created, you can login from http://mermaid.madgik.di.uoa.gr/user.

 

2. Start uploading your content

Expand the administration menu by clicking on the wrench at the top left corner.

 

Use case 1: Upload the description of a resourse (File, Portal, Application) and make it available to everyone.

Go to Add Content -> Resource.

The resource that you add here will appear under the Resources section of the site. It will be publicly available.

 

Use case 2: Upload the description of a resource (File, Link to a service, Link to an Application), and submit it for harvesting from other portals. The uploaded file with information can be either public or private (accessible only from registered users.)

Go to Add Content ->Resource, and add the description of your Resource. It is important to add a Resource first before you can add a Resouce File, because each Resource File has to be linked to a particular Resource.

Fill all the information, following the instructions below each field.
